Welcome to YI Voices Literacy Program

Your Story Starts Here

 The Voices Journalism Program is a virtual training and publishing program designed for children ages 8 to 13. Students are trained to become reporters and contribute their work to our online Voices Magazine. Through weekly sessions, hands-on assignments, and a celebratory launch event, young reporters gain confidence, skills, and a platform to share their voices with the world.

 Every student publishes their work online and sees their voice celebrated.  A showcase for families, friends, and the community to elevate student voice and highlight their stories and achievements. 

Program structure

Program Structure

  • Format: 100% Virtual (interactive and engaging via live sessions)
     
  • Ages: Open to students 8–13 years old
     
  • Schedule: Weekly virtual sessions + independent assignments
     
  • Commitment: Semester-based with the option to continue year-round
     
  • Tuition: Parents invest in their child’s creative growth (tuition covers the reporter’s kit, training, mentorship, and publishing opportunities)
